The Kansas City Chiefs look to nab their second consecutive win when they face the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7. Following their dominant 30-17 victory against the Detroit Lions, the team’s confidence is at an all-time high.
Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes has won the AFC Player of the Week award twice in the last three weeks. Through six games, he’s completed 64.8% of his passes for 1,514 yards, 11 touchdowns, and just two interceptions.
The three-time Super Bowl MVP also leads the team in rushing with 38 carries for 222 yards and four touchdowns. However, the Chiefs receive a huge boost on offense on Sunday, October 19, as Mahomes’ No. 1 wide receiver, Rashee Rice, is back in action.
Rice suffered a season-ending injury in Week 4 of last year and remained sidelined in 2025 due to a six-game suspension stemming from a high-speed, multi-vehicle car crash.

Mahomes told reporters, “Adding Rashee there and him catching those balls underneath, then him with his YAC and able to make stuff happen. It’s going to force defense to choose.”
Helping cheer on the Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium, Mahomes’ wife, Brittany Mahomes. The Kansas City Current co-owner shares three children with the 30-year-old quarterback, Sterling Skye, 4, Patrick “Bronze,” 2, and baby Golden Raye, 9 months.

Brittany posted CBS Sports’ official graphic announcement on her Instagram Stories on Saturday night before adding another post on Sunday morning. She shared a graphic from the Chiefs’ social media account showing the three wide receivers’ lockers all lined up and ready to go.

The players are excited, too. During warmups, Rice, Brown, and Worthy wore t-shirts that read, “RR-X-Jet.”
Rashee Rice Called The Raiders-Chiefs Game ‘Really Big’ For Him

“This week is really big,” Rice told reporters earlier this week. “It’s been a while since I got to play in a regular-season game with my guys, so I’m very excited to be out there, to go out there and compete.”
The 25-year-old also made it clear he stayed in shape while on the sidelines. “Honestly, I went down to Florida, where it’s hot. Try to keep myself in the heat similar to St. Joe. (Chiefs hold training camp in St. Joseph, Missouri.) Just train every day, Monday through Friday, and do some type of workout on Sunday to have my mind ready to get active on a game day.”
Rice is pumped to rejoin his teammates after nearly a year away. “Yeah, honestly, it’s just a brotherhood,” he said. “We kind of feel like everything we’re doing on the field is for each other. Because, I mean, we do everything for each other off the field, so it’s easy to relate.”
