The New England Patriots have a rising star in second-year QB Drake Maye. The 2024 No. 3 overall pick had a strong rookie season and is following it up with a sensational run in his sophomore campaign. The Patriots are 11-2, currently leading the AFC East, Maye is firmly in the MVP conversation.
But he’s not the only member of his family rising to stardom this year. His wife, Ann Michael Maye, is enjoying a bit of online fame herself. She’s been a hit on TikTok thanks to the “Bakemas” trend, a series of videos where creators will showcase a new baked good each day throughout December, in honor of the winter holidays.
Ann Michael has been blowing up on TikTok over the last few weeks, with Patriots fans a big part of that. They’ve been showing out in support of their favorite quarterback’s wife, in addition to the organic traction she’s been getting from her online fans.
Between her success and the MVP hype raging around her husband, it’s safe to say it’s been a good month for the Maye family.

“Yeah, a lot of my friends and family members laugh at ’em,” Maye said on a radio show Monday in his quintessential southern drawl, referring to the comments his fans leave under his wife’s videos. “They always tell me to go look. I honestly don’t watch her videos much, they come up sometimes when I see her making them, I think they’re funny.”
“But nah, it’s been awesome [to see] her little journey and doing Bakemas right now. So I get the good part of trying all the stuff she bakes, and I try and bring some leftovers into the [Patriots] building. I think people up north kinda struggle with the double name, of getting her name [right]. Her name’s a double name, Ann Michael, so hopefully people figure that out. But she’s a superstar, it’s been a big addition for me, being up here and living with me.”
“Whoa,” Maye said when asked what his favorite of his wife’s baked good is. “She made some oatmeal cream pies that I loved the other day. I dunno, she’s really up to make whatever. I love her regular cookies, chocolate chip cookies, she does it all. She cooks good dinners. So really whatever she’s up for, she’ll try whatever.”

Back in Week 5, the Patriots made a huge statement on Sunday Night Football, beating the Bills and signalling that Buffalo five-year reign over the division might be over.
But now, they have a chance to really seal the deal. The Bills come to New England on Sunday afternoon — and the Patriots already have a two-game lead with just four to play. A win would lock up the division, as even if the Patriots lost out, the worst they could be is tied with Buffalo, and they’d hold the tiebreaker.
