Patriots Owner Robert Kraft Hosted a Lavish July 4th Bash With Surprise Musical Icon (PHOTOS)

New England Patriots Owner Robert Kraft threw an epic, celebrity-filled party on July 4th at his mansion in Bridgehampton, New York. The bash was hosted by Kraft and his wife, Dana Blumberg, and attended by many celebrities, including Jerry Seinfeld, Jon Bon Jovi, Sylvester Stallone, and Mike Tyson. It’s unclear if NFL players were in attendance.

None other than Sir Elton John put on a musical performance. It’s said the music legend played an hour set of his greatest hits, such as “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me,” which he dedicated to the hosts. Elton John retired from touring in 2023. It was a rare treat for those in attendance to get to sing along to his songs in person.

For Kraft’s 4th of July party, a since-deleted video via social media showed Elton John arriving on a golf cart decorated with wild white feathers. He took over the stage in a bright yellow outfit with custom red sunglasses. Elton also sat down to play his famous “Tiny Dancer” on a red piano for the performance. There is no information about Bill Belichick or Tom Brady attending.

The Independence Day party also had a jaw-dropping drone show showcasing numerous images. Attendees said the show included a Patriots logo, an American flag, Kraft’s dog, Heisman, an image of John, the Statue of Liberty, and a football.

Kraft and The Rocket Man have been friends for a long time. When Kraft and Blumberg surprised their families and closest friends, who thought they were attending a “Kickoff and a Touchdown” party at the Hall des Lumières in lower Manhattan, were actually attending the couple’s wedding.

Their wedding began with a touching 10-minute video before NFL commentator Al Michaels introduced the married couple to the 250 people in attendance. Elton John performed at the event for an hour. TouchdownWire said he did a duet of “Candle in the Wind” with Ed Sheeran.

GettyElton John has publicly referred to Robert Kraft, “as one of his best friends in the whole wide world.”

When John performed some of his final shows at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, Kraft gifted Elton with an autographed helmet and a personalized football with his name, tour logo, and a message reading: “a championship singer, pianist, composer, songwriter, performer & personal friend,” according to EssentiallySports.

As mentioned, Robert Kraft and Elton John have a long friendship. Elton is a big Patriots fan and served as an honorary team captain when they played in London back in 2009. The Patriots won the game 35-7. Heading into the new season, maybe the Patriots could use a surprise Elton John performance.

“We’re going to have fun this year, I promise.”

That’s the promise Robert Kraft made about the 2025 NFL season during a podcast appearance with ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Following back-to-back 4-win seasons, it feels weird for the Patriots not to be in the playoffs every year. But Kraft was very excited about the new season, Mike Vrabel, and had good things to say about Drake Maye.

“We have a new coach in Mike Vrabel. He is really connected with the players, who’s doing great work,” Kraft explained. “We have a young quarterback and a lot of great free-agent veterans who came in, a great draft class.” The last two years were the worst years of my 31 years of ownership,” said Kraft. “We have to change that.”
