CHAMPIONS LEAGUE winner Joselu has completed a shock transfer while on international duty for Spain at Euro 2024.
The striker was once a Premier League flop at Stoke before turning his career around in Spain.
Joselu has left Real Madrid to sign for Al Gharafa in Qatar
And he was a surprise hero for Real Madrid on the way to helping them to the Champions League final with two late semi-final goals.
Joselu was picked for Spain’s Euro squad in Germany – making one appearance against Albania.
But while the forward is away, his next move has been confirmed after agreeing a move to Al Gharafa in Qatar.
Real Madrid said in a statement: “His two goals in the second leg of the Champions League semi-final against Bayern München saw Joselu play a very important role in reaching the final at Wembley and winning the 15th European Cup.
“Real Madrid would like to thank Joselu for his professionalism and his madridismo, and wishes him and his family the best of luck in this new chapter of their lives.”
Joselu initially joined Madrid on a season-long loan last summer from Espanyol and went on to make 49 appearances.
The LaLiga champions actually triggered his £1.27million option to make the move permanent.
But it proved to only allow them to then sell him onto Al Gharafa for the exact same price.
