Quinshon Judkins Sends Clear Message on Future With Browns

The Cleveland Browns selected Quinshon Judkins in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft, and he has made an immediate impact.

Judkins has become the Browns’ starting running back and looks like a future star. He’s coming off a dominant three-touchdown performance, and Judkins is ecstatic that he gets to have success with the Browns.

Judkins finished his college career at Ohio State after starting at Ole Miss. Given that he ended his career at Ohio State, Judkins said he grew fond of Ohio and wants to spend his entire career in Cleveland.

“I meant to say it after the game, but I’m not on social media a lot,” Judkins said. “I had to catch up, so that’s what it meant. Cleveland is home. I played at Ohio State. Ohio is all I know. I want to die playing football here in Cleveland and giving everything I got.”

Many Browns fans would love to see Judkins spend his entire career with Cleveland, as the rookie looks like he will be a star running back for years to come.

It’s also a positive message from Judkins, who took some time to sign his rookie contract. But despite that, it appears the two sides have moved on, and Judkins wants to be in Cleveland long-term.

Judkins has rushed for 467 yards and 3 touchdowns on 109 carries this season.

Judkins Showing off Preparation

Against the Dolphins, Judkins had a ton of success as he rushed for three touchdowns.

Judkins also got snaps from the wildcat role, which he’s fond of.

“Yeah, something that I ran in college, so I’m familiar with it,” Judkins said. “A lot of wildcat in Ole Miss’s offense. So when coach (Tommy) Rees and coach Duce (Staley) told me that we’ll be putting it in, I had a smile on my face. Just to go out there and like I said, do my job, execute, get a touchdown. So it’s fun.”

Although Judkins didn’t have a training camp, he has had immediate success, which he’s not surprised by.

“I think that it shows with my preparation,” Judkins said. “I would say just building that trust with my coaches, knowing that I would do the right thing, and just going out there executing, knowing that it also put me in the best position to do that.”

The Browns selected Judkins with the 36th overall pick after he helped the Ohio State Buckeyes win the national championship.

Browns Coach Knows Judkins Will Have His Hands Full

Although Judkins had a dominant performance against the Dolphins in Week 7, Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski knows the run game will be harder to get going against the New England Patriots.

The Patriots have a great run defense, but Stefanski has confidence in Judkins and the run game.

“It’s a very good run defense, which is not a surprise,” Stefanski said. “They’re stout up front, they limit explosives – they don’t let you get explosives in the run game. So, you really just have to be on point. You know, explosives come in the run game when everybody does their job, you can’t just go call the plays that try to get 50-yards. You have got to make sure that everybody is hatted up, doing their job, and then runners need to stay true to their reads.”

If the Browns are going to have success, Judkins will need to be a focal part of the offense.
