Raiders’ Ashton Jeanty Rips ‘Fake News’ Report About Personal Life

Rookie running back Ashton Jeanty is doing what he can to help the community in his early days of playing for the Las Vegas Raiders. However, a rumor circulated recently that he went above and beyond to help a local restaurant.

The rumor was that he caught wind of a restaurant about to go out of business, so he donated $98,000 to save it. While that would be great publicity for the young running back, it’s actually not true.

Jeanty was informed of the rumor and made it clear that he did not actually donate any money to save a restaurant.

“That’s not accurate. A lot of fake news out there,” Jeanty told reporters on Wednesday.

Perhaps the rumor was spread to drum up some interest for the restaurant. Regardless, it sounds like he wasn’t actually involved with helping them. That doesn’t mean he’s not looking to help the less fortunate. He revealed that he has plans to open up his own foundation.

“I do give back but even then I’m working on starting a foundation,” Jeanty said. “I think giving back is important, for sure.”

It remains to be seen what his foundation will focus on, but he should be helping a lot of people in the future.

Jeanty Talks Raiders-Chiefs Rivalry

Jeanty is still new with the Raiders, but he’s quickly learning the franchise does not take rivalries lightly. Arguably, their biggest rival is the Kansas City Chiefs. The two teams don’t like each other.

Jeanty is going to his first crack and the Chiefs, and he’s excited to be a part of the historic rivalry.

“Yeah, man. I mean, seems like them boys don’t like each other, but I’m a part of it now, so I’m excited for it,” Jeanty said. “Rivalry games are always a lot of fun. It’s going to be a little more chippy, playing harder, so I’m excited for it.”

The Raiders continue to try and shore up their run game. It’s been a struggle, but the offense is not averaging 105.2 rushing yards per game, which is a big improvement over last season.

“Yeah, I mean, we know we want to run the ball, establish a run game, and be able to pass and you run play actions off of that,” Jeanty said. “So, basically being a balanced offense, and both of them work together, so continuing to build on that, and being able to bring that to life each and every week.”

Jeanty Lands With New Agency

Jeanty is already a big star despite playing in just six games so far. It looks like he has his eyes on some bigger things.

Klutch Sports agent Nicole Lynn announced on Thursday that she is now representing the running back.

It’s unclear why Jeanty is already switching agencies, but Klutch Sports is one of the most powerful agencies in the business of sports. This could open up more for Jeanty, who was already swimming in major sponsorships. It’s well-known that running backs have a hard time getting paid, but having Klutch behind him should only help.
