Raiders Predicted to Add Highly Touted 1,101-Yard WR in 2026

The Las Vegas Raiders‘ wide receiver room got a boost recently with the Amari Cooper signing. If Jakobi Meyers stays on the roster and plays like he did last season, and Cooper stays healthy, the team might have a solid wide receiver corps this season.

However, the future is a bit concerning. There’s a good chance Meyers isn’t back after this season, and Cooper is also on a one-year deal. Rookies Jack Bech and Dont’e Thornton could have bright futures, but it’s too early to say.

Head coach Pete Carroll invested heavily in wide receivers during his time with the Seattle Seahawks, so there’s a good chance he’s hoping to upgrade next offseason. Luckily, there will be some very good options in the draft.

Ahead of the 2025 regular season, Bleacher Report put together a 2026 mock draft. They project the Raiders to select Arizona State wide receiver Jordyn Tyson with the No. 7 pick.

“The Las Vegas Raiders were so thin at wide receiver, especially with Jakobi Meyers’ contract/trade demands, that they signed Amari Cooper last week,” B/R wrote. “Veterans aside, the Raiders offense needs to get something out of its young wide receivers, whether it’s Tre Tucker, Jack Bech or Dont’e Thornton Jr.

“Considering the circumstances, Las Vegas could do far worse than adding the 2026 class’ No. 1 wide receiver prospect with its first-round selection.”

Scouting Report on Tyson

It’s early in the college football season, but Tyson is the early favorite to be the No. 1 wide receiver in the 2026 class. He had 75 catches for 1,101 receiving yards in 2024, and got off to a strong start this season with a 12-catch, 141-yard game against Northern Arizona.

Bleacher Report is very high on his upside.

“Arizona State’s Jordyn Tyson dominated Northern Arizona last weekend,” Dame Parson said. “He displayed his outstanding route-running, separation abilities and ball skills. He would give the Raiders offense a bona fide WR1-level talent to raise the floor and ceiling of their passing offense.”

Adding a true No. 1 wide receiver could do wonders for a Raiders offense that already has a star tight end and a potential star running back.

Jakobi Meyers Committed to Teammates

Meyers has been a really solid player for the Raiders and seems like the type of guy a team would want to reward. However, the team doesn’t seem that interested in giving him a contract extension.

In many cases, that would present a big problem for a locker room. Luckily, Meyers isn’t looking to start any drama. He’s remaining committed to the Raiders due to the respect he has for his teammates.

“I mean, that’s probably the hardest part,” Meyers told reporters on Wednesday. “Honestly, I got to give a shout out to my teammates, because if it wasn’t for them, I probably would’ve did the same thing everybody else do. But you got to find a way to separate yourself, honestly, from just the B.S. and all the business. At the end of the day, my teammates got my back and I got they back. I’ma just rock out with them.”
