The Los Angeles Rams are gearing up for a significant showdown against the Atlanta Falcons on “Monday Night Football,” and they are getting roster reinforcements in veteran playmaker Roger McCreary and others in a slew of last-minute roster activity.
LA received some unfortunate clarity about their postseason future, but they will need all hands on deck regardless.
They are also facing a Falcons team fighting for its future off the field.
Rams Activate Roger McCreary for ‘Monday Night Football’

The Rams announced with a post on X on December 29 that they “Activated, from Reserve CB Roger McCreary,” getting the former Tennessee Titans defender back on the field for the first time since Week 12.
The Rams acquired McCreary from the Titans at the 2025 trade deadline.
McCreary was the No. 35 overall pick of the 2022 draft, and he provides inside-outside versatility for the Rams, who are still without safety/nickelback Quentin Lake.
Rams head coach Sean McVay explained that the expected cornerback Josh Wallace’s ankle injury would heal up more than it has, but that McCreary’s return would be part of the plan to soften the blow, along with the recently re-signed Derion Kendrick.
The Rams ruled Wallace and several others out on Saturday.
“Just didn’t make quite the progress for the position he’s in for us to think that that would be responsible,” McVay told reporters on December 27. “Roger McCreary will be a guy that we’ll end up being able to get him up and active, having Derion Kendrick. And so, that’ll offer an opportunity for those guys to be able to step up, do some things.”
The Rams are facing a Falcons team that has been eliminated from postseason contention, but has won two straight games and three of their last five outings.
LA can no longer win the NFC West. They also cannot slide any further before the playoffs.
That makes how McVay and the Rams handle their roster decisions, both on Monday night and in Week 18, something to monitor amid injuries at both offensive tackle spots and with a 37-year-old quarterback who battled back issues this past offseason in Matthew Stafford.
Rams Bolster Roster Depth

The Rams also announced that they have “Activated, from Practice Squad (Standard Elevation) OL AJ Arcuri, S Tanner Ingle.”
Both players have familiarity with the Rams’ schemes, which is a benefit to all parties. Ingle, whom McVay called the “Human Missile,” has played in one game for the Rams this season. He has 13 snaps on special teams and three on defense, per Pro Football Reference.
Arcuri has yet to see the field this season.
He has been with the Rams since entering the league as a seventh-round pick in the 2022 draft. The Rams selected him 261st overall. He has played in 10 games with one start in his career.
The Rams surely hope Arcuri and Ingle are only needed in a limited capacity. McVay and the Rams are locked in on defeating the Falcons in Week 17. They still have to face the Arizona Cardinals in Week 18.
Still, the playoffs and–they hope–the Super Bowl are the goal.
