Entering Week 12, the Los Angeles Rams have beaten five teams with records of 0.500 or better, including two wins over divisional opponents.
Week 11 was the most notable win for the Rams this season against the Seattle Seahawks, who they beat, 21-19, thanks to a missed game-winning field goal attempt by Jason Myers in the dying seconds of the fourth quarter. The win against the rival put the Rams in first place in the NFC West
The Rams have an 8-2 record; both of LA’s losses this season have come by less than a single score, highlighting that they are a hard team to beat this season.
With seven weeks left to go, Los Angeles needs to have strong performances to win the NFC West and to become the number one seed in the conference.

It wasn’t the best display for the offense against the Seahawks, but the defense was able to hold it down and hold Seattle to only 19 points, but logged four interceptions and a fumble (which was recovered by the Seahawks).
The NFL website updated its power rankings after Week 11, with the Los Angeles Rams now in the driver’s seat and ranked as the best team in the league.
“The Rams took a major step toward winning the NFC West with Sunday’s dramatic victory over the Seahawks, and they’re just behind the Eagles in the race for the top seed in the conference. That head-to-head loss at Philadelphia back in Week 3 could end up being the difference, but the Rams have now shown a few times this season against tough opponents that they can win games without the offense carrying the load,” Eric Edholm wrote.
“Forcing four Sam Darnold interceptions and keeping Seattle out of the end zone for the game’s first 57 minutes was a watershed performance for a defense that has generated eight takeaways in the three games since the bye. Matthew Stafford and the offense should be fine, although watching them struggle on third downs and get progressively worse as Sunday’s game went on was surprising.”
The Seahawks are no team to take lightly and it isn’t a surprise they played a good game against the Rams’ offense. After Week 12, Seattle has allowed the sixth-fewest points per game this season at 19.3. The Rams are allowing the second-fewest, with 17.2 points per game.

The Rams have four of the opponents with records above 0.500, including some Super Bowl contenders.
In the NFC, Los Angeles can be one of three teams that are serious contenders in the playoffs and becoming the first seed in the conference will help make their road easier to the Lombardi trophy.
Both of the losses from the Rams have been somewhat self-inflicted, with the special teams having poor performances, especially the field goal team, but they appear to have fixed their situation in recent weeks.
Five of the Rams’ wins this season have come from a one-score game. If the team can continue to win, regardless of how much, they have a real opportunity to get a bye in the playoffs.
