Rams’ Kevin Demoff Gives Bold Take Before 2025 NFL Season

After reaching the NFC Divisional Round but falling to the Philadelphia Eagles last season, the Los Angeles Rams enter the 2025 campaign with high expectations. Rams president Kevin Demoff has also shared his excitement about the team and what they can achieve.

Demoff was on a recent edition of “Good Morning Football” and reflected on the 10 years of the Rams’ return to Los Angeles. Moreover, he stated that this is the most talented team since their return, which is high praise since one squad won the Super Bowl in 2022.

“I think this is the most talented team we’ve had since we’ve been in Los Angeles,” Demoff said. “I think that’s what’s exciting, from a true perspective, as a Rams fan.”

Can Davante Adams Replace Cooper Kupp?

The Rams have to replace talent from previous seasons, and one of them is Cooper Kupp, but Los Angeles are betting on Davante Adams to rediscover his past form. Last season, Adams had a challenging campaign, but he did grab seven touchdowns as he split time between the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets.

“We have the addition of Davante Adams,” Demoff added. “It’s sad to lose someone like Cooper Kupp, who brought us so many memories across the street and across the board. But you add someone like Davante Adams. You have the reigning defensive rookie of the year [Jared Verse], who’s been unstable in training camp, Matthew [Stafford] coming back, Kyren [Williams]. It’s an interesting team because it’s a very young team.”

Kupp’s production has declined since his standout 2021 season, when he recorded 145 receptions for 1,947 yards and 16 touchdowns. While his 2022 season wasn’t as flashy, he still earned Super Bowl MVP honors in the Rams’ win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

As for Adams, despite the quarterback challenges during his time with the Raiders, he still posted back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons in his first two campaigns with the Silver and Black. The Rams hope they can see that same version of the wide receiver on their roster.

Rams hit decade mark in Los Angeles

While Demoff mentioned bits of the team that he’s excited to see whether it’s the young defense or hoping Adams returns to his past form, he reflected on the Rams now being a decade into their return to Los Angeles. He mentioned several aspects that he’s proud of.

“This is the most connected team and probably the most talented team we’ve had in Los Angeles. But here on August 20th, that doesn’t mean anything,” Demoff said. “You still gotta go do it. But I also will say, even when we talk about 10 years—just even driving into the studio, looking at what Hollywood Park and SoFi Stadium has become over those 10 years.

“I remember coming to the groundbreaking nine and a half, 10 years ago, and thinking, what will this look like? And now you pull in and you have the memories at SoFi Stadium, the Super Bowl, and [the NFL Network], and the amazing district that’s popped up. You’re like, it has been an incredible 10 years, but I wonder what the next 10 years will bring.”
