The Los Angeles Rams offense is going to look a little bit different heading into 2025. After falling in the Divisional Round of the 2024 NFL Playoffs, the Rams parted ways with star wide receiver Cooper Kupp, and quickly replaced him with Davante Adams. With studs like Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua, and Kyren Williams still in place, Los Angeles’ offense looks deadly once again heading into the new season.
Easily the biggest area of weakness on offense for the Rams, at least from a playmaking perspective, is the tight end position. There are several options who could be available on the trade market before the regular season gets started, though, with one of them being Baltimore Ravens veteran Mark Andrews. With that in mind, let’s check out a trade pitch that would see Baltimore send Andrews out to L.A. for the 2025 campaign.
Rams’ Mark Andrews Trade Pitch
Rams receive: Mark Andrews
Ravens receive: 2026 third-round pick
Andrews has been a developmental success story for Baltimore, as he was selected in the third round of the 2018 NFL draft before quickly turning himself into one of the best tight ends in the league. Andrews is a three-time Pro Bowler who was also selected to the All-Pro First Team in 2021, when he caught 107 passes for 1,361 yards and nine touchdowns.
While Andrews has remained productive in recent seasons, he hasn’t come close to reaching those numbers since then. There are several reasons for that, with one of them being the result of Baltimore’s offense relying increasingly more on the ground game, which is what happens when you have Lamar Jackson at quarterback and Derrick Henry at running back. The reason that could result in Andrews getting traded, though, is the emergence of Isaiah Likely.
A fourth-round pick in the 2022 NFL draft, Likely has seen his role grow in recent seasons with the Ravens, which has cut into Andrews’ production. Add in the fact that Andrews is entering the final year of his contract, and Baltimore is going to have to choose between him and Likely in the near future. Given that his 30th birthday is approaching in September, it seems more likely that the team will move on from Andrews at this point.
The Ravens may not have room for Andrews in their future plans, but he would fit the Rams timeline. The team has Tyler Higbee and 2025 second-round pick Terrance Ferguson leading the way at tight end now, but there’s no doubt the addition of Andrews would elevate their offensive floor considerably in 2025. At this stage of the game, Baltimore would likely be thrilled to get a third-round pick in exchange for the veteran pass catcher.
Would Rams, Ravens Be Interested in This Mark Andrews Trade?

Given Likely’s emergence over the past few seasons, Andrews’ time with the Ravens is probably coming to an end soon one way or another. Baltimore could get ahead of his potential departure in free agency by trading him before the upcoming season, while also getting some draft capital in return. As noted above, they would be foolish to turn down a third-round pick for Andrews considering the circumstances.
Would that be a price the Rams are willing to pay, though? The front office has been extremely aggressive when it comes to trading draft picks in previous years, but giving up a third rounder for an aging Andrews right before he’s set for a new deal may be a bit too aggressive (especially since they just used a second-round pick on a tight end). A fourth rounder may be a bit more up L.A.’s ally, but you never know what Les Snead and company will do next with their draft picks.
