The Baltimore Ravens did what they needed to do in Week 17. Now all they can do is sit and watch on Sunday to see if the Steelers trip up and open the door for them in the AFC North. On Saturday night, the Ravens went into Green Bay and got a monster 41-24 win over the Packers, keeping their own playoff hopes alive and ending the Packers’ chances of winning the NFC North.
The hero of the day was All-Pro RB Derrick Henry, who had a career night after a disappointing performance last week. Henry was benched in the fourth quarter of the Ravens’ loss to the Patriots despite rushing for 128 yards and two touchdowns, but there was no thought of Baltimore taking him off of Lambeau Field. Henry had 36 carries for 216 yards and four touchdowns, sending a message to league that the King isn’t done yet.
Injury Update on Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson

What makes last night’s Ravens win all the more impressive is that they did it without their star quarterback. Two-time MVP QB Lamar Jackson was out with a back injury and did not play. Backup QB Tyler Huntley wasn’t asked to do much but he couldn’t have executed the offense better, going 16/20 for 107 yards and a touchdown.
“It certainly seems like the Baltimore Ravens have found a formula just a couple months into the season, and it’s pretty simple: give the ball to Derrick Henry a lot,” NFL insider Ian Rapoport said on Sunday morning on the NFL Game Day Morning show. “Career-high for carries [against the Packers], 216 yards, four touchdowns for Derrick Henry.”
“No questions this time for [Ravens HC] John Harbaugh about why their star running back was not on the field in crunch time. Gives Baltimore a little hope going into next week if the Steelers end up losing. And the fact that Lamar Jackson, who’s dealing with a back bruise, could in fact be back next week, gives them a little more hope. But obviously they’ll be watching closely today.”
The Baltimore Ravens Still Need Help to Make the Playoffs
Now all the Ravens can do is watch and wait. The Steelers play the Browns on Sunday afternoon and with a win, they would eliminate the Ravens from playoff contention. Baltimore is already out of reach of a wildcard berth, so to make the playoffs they would need to win their division. Should Pittsburgh trip up in Cleveland, it would set up a winner-take-all rematch between the Ravens and Steelers in Pittsburgh, with the victor getting the division and with it, a home playoff game.
The Steelers beat the Ravens in Baltimore back in Week 14, 27-22. It was a tight game and the Ravens will need to win the rematch to have a shot at the playoffs after a wild season.
