Ahead of a pivotal Week 11 matchup with the division-rival Browns, the Baltimore Ravens got some crucial injury updates on three important players. While much of the injury news the Ravens have gotten recently has been positive — including the update on two-time MVP QB Lamar Jackson — this time three players have been ruled out for Sunday’s game.
Per NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo and Baltimore’s official injury designations, WR Rashod Bateman, CB Marlon Humphrey, and RB Justice Hill have all been ruled out against the Browns. Bateman is dealing with an ankle injury, while Humphrey has a finger issue and Hill a toe. Bateman and Humphrey are key starters for Baltimore, while Hill plays an important role in their offense as a change-of-pace back behind star RB Derrick Henry. Backup LB Jay Higgins IV has also been ruled out with a knee injury.
The Ravens are favored against the Browns, and should they win, they would move to 5-5 on the season and draw even at .500 for the first time since Week 2. Baltimore hasn’t had a winning record all year, but after a 1-5 start, a fourth straight win would see them reemerge as serious playoff contenders.

Ravens HC John Harbaugh spoke to the media on Friday ahead of the Browns game, and he confirmed that Jackson will be a “full go” on Sunday despite popping up on the injury report this week with a knee injury. Jackson previously missed three games earlier this season with a hamstring issue, so it’s good to see he won’t be limited against Cleveland.
Bateman’s absence, however, puts pressure on the rest of Baltimore’s receiving corps to step up. Harbaugh was asked about his confidence in the rest of the Ravens’ depth chart.
“Yeah, I feel good about the guys,” Harbaugh said in his press conference after Friday’s practice. “I think we’re deep at receiver. [Devontez Walker] would obviously be the next man up in that area, and he’ll be prepared to go if that turns out to be the case.”
The Baltimore Ravens Are Fighting for Their Playoff Lives
Despite starting just 1-5 on the year, the Ravens are only one game behind the Steelers in the AFC North. With both head-to-head matchups against Pittsburgh still ahead of them, Baltimore has to feel good about controlling their own playoff destiny.
Still, their margin for error is slim, and climbing all the way back into the playoff picture will continue to require a lot of mental fortitude. Harbaugh spoke on the important of this Browns game and how seriously his team is taking it.
“Good practice. Big, big important game on Sunday in Cleveland. We’re preparing for it, we’re looking forward to it. We’re going to try and put our best foot forward,” the Ravens coach said.
