Derrick Henry continues to rewrite the record books. During Baltimore’s matchup against Pittsburgh, the Baltimore Ravens star became just the fourth player in NFL history to record 1,000+ rushing yards and 10+ rushing touchdowns in at least seven seasons. The elite company includes Emmitt Smith, LaDainian Tomlinson, and Adrian Peterson — now joined by Henry, whose power and durability remain defining traits of his career.
Derrick Henry’s Historic Season Reaches a New Milestone
On Thursday, November 11, the Ravens formally commemorated the milestone. “The King in rare air,” the team captioned the announcement on X.
Henry’s statistical climb this season has been steady and historic. Earlier in the year, he notched his 115th career touchdown, placing him within five rushing scores of Adrian Peterson for fourth all-time. His 30 career multi-touchdown rushing games rank third behind Tomlinson (38) and Smith (36). Henry also moved to 13th on the NFL’s all-time rushing list, passing Marcus Allen and Edgerrin James.
Despite Baltimore’s offensive struggles, Henry ranks sixth in the NFL in rushing yards and fourth in carries. His yards-per-carry mark sits at 4.6, but analysts note that with improved offensive line consistency, Henry could push that number higher. His physical, aggressive style continues to anchor the Ravens’ ground attack.
‘King Henry’ Nears More NFL Landmarks as Ravens Prepare for Bengals
The Heisman Trophy Committee also celebrated Henry this week, noting that Friday, Dec. 12, marks the 10th anniversary of his Heisman win at Alabama. They wrote, “We would love to have him in person this weekend in New York, but he’s booked with his day job, busy being one of the most dominant running backs in the NFL.”
Henry’s Week 15 matchup comes with additional stakes. His game against the Cincinnati Bengals will be his 150th career NFL appearance, and he enters with 12,448 rushing yards — already past Jim Brown and Marcus Allen. Only two Heisman winners stand above him on the rushing list: Tony Dorsett (10th) and Barry Sanders (4th). Sanders remains farther ahead, but Henry could pass Dorsett before season’s end.
Henry has also shone in the postseason, recording 1,002 rushing yards and seven touchdowns in nine playoff games.
But as Henry celebrates milestones, the Ravens face pressing concerns. Baltimore sits at 6–7 after a disappointing loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Meanwhile, the Bengals remain in slim playoff contention at 4–9. Two weeks ago, Cincinnati routed Baltimore 32–14, raising questions about Baltimore’s consistency.
Sports Illustrated’s Matt Verderame questioned why the Ravens are favored in Week 15, writing, “Lamar Jackson has ranged from average to awful since coming back… the Ravens are going to struggle throwing the ball.”
Verderame added that Baltimore’s defense hasn’t been reliable either, noting they allowed the Steelers — the NFL’s lowest-ranked offense — to score 27 points last weekend.
Still, the Ravens believe Henry’s momentum can help stabilize the offense heading into a must-win divisional rematch with the Bengals and 2019 Heisman winner Joe Burrow.
The Baltimore Ravens will travel to Paycor Stadium in Cincinnati to face the Bengals in an AFC North showdown on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at 1 p.m. ET.
