In addition to the three colorways being released, Reebok is also continuing her clothing line, which displays her multifaceted personality. The ‘Diamond Dust’ will be Grey/Grey/White, and the ‘Mebounds’ will feature Paradise Pink/Paradise.

Coupled with the ‘Diamond Dust’ and ‘Mebounds’, the ‘Receipts Ready’ colorway will feature White/Black/Energy Red. Along with the announcement today, Reebok published the campaign on their website with the breakdown of the product.

According to Reebok, the sneaker will provide high-energy support for basketball players. “The Angel Reese 1 sneakers are a bold fusion of performance innovation and expressive design, built to match Angel’s dynamic on-court dominance and culture-driving presence off it,” per Reebok.com.

The Angel Reese 1’s are engineered to support players with big personalities on and off the court. While some may not consider Reese as an underdog, she plays with a chip on her shoulder night in and night out.

Reese Effect

Although Reese is often discredited for her confidence, hustle, and physical style of play. These sneakers were created to inspire players to break down barriers on and off the court. Reebok carefully crafted each aspect of the sneaker to embrace its superstar.

“Engineered to support Angel’s relentless energy in the game and built to inspire and impress, these basketball shoes balance ethereal aesthetics with elite-level performance,” per Reebok.com.

“Featuring her signature Angel Reese logo on the tongue, Reebok’s patented Energy Return System technology (ERS) underfoot and a molded TPU upper inspired by Angel’s elegance and strength while providing stability and durability.”

“A TPU stability cup in the heel adds much-needed structure for players who, like Angel, thrive on physicality and power.”

Injury

Despite the consistent marketing of Reebok, the two-time All-Star doesn’t have a timetable to return to the lineup. On August 14, ESPN contributors predicted eight hot takes for the remainder of the WNBA season.

ESPN’s Michael Voepel predicted that the Chicago superstar would not return for the rest of the season. “Last year’s top two rookies are currently sidelined — a groin injury for Clark and a back injury for Reese — and neither the Indiana Fever nor Chicago Sky have announced timetables for them to return,” Voepel wrote.

“There is a chance neither comes back for 2025; they are going to be league standouts for a long time, and perhaps it’s best for them to focus on healing completely for next year. That said, both undoubtedly want to return and finish this season.”

Needless to say, Voepel continued to explain that there may not be a reason for Reese to return this season. “But there’s likely less incentive for Reese, who last played on July 29, to return.”

“The Sky (8-24) aren’t going to be a playoff team; considering their loss to Connecticut on Wednesday, they might even drop behind the Sun (6-26) for the league’s worst record,” Voepel wrote.
