It is added Spurs are one of four Premier League clubs monitoring the England international.

West Ham and Aston Villa – where Abraham spent a season on loan with from 2018-2019 – have also been linked this summer.

Roma are believed to have put a £25m price tag on Abraham, who is thought to favour a move back to England.

Friedkin, worth £4.8billion, has beaten off a bid by Vici Private Finance in the battle to become the new Everton owner.
