Ryder Cup Schedule: Day 1 Foursomes Matchups for USA vs. Europe

Finally, the 2025 Ryder Cup is here, and we now know the players who will go out first at Bethpage Black to kick off the international showdown.

Team USA captain Keegan Bradley and Europe’s Luke Donald both announced their four groupings for the Friday morning foursomes session during an appearance on Golf Channel.

Here’s how they’ll line up bright and early at Bethpage:

7:10 a.m.
Europe: John Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton vs. USA: Bryson DeChambeau, Justin Thomas

Notes: Rahm and Hatton are good friends, who also play together on Legion XIII on the LIV tour. … They have Ryder Cup experience together in the past and have been great in foursomes. Rahm is 4-0 in foursomes; Hatton is 2-1. … The two players are 2-0-1 overall in their Ryder Cup matches. … For Team USA, this is the first time DeChambeau and Thomas have been paired together. … Thomas has a 2-3-0 career record in foursomes; DeChambeau is 0-2-0 in foursomes.

Europe: Ludvig Aberg, Matt Fitzpatrick vs. USA: Scottie Scheffler, Russell Henley

Notes: Fitzpatrick is 1-7-0 for his career in the Ryder Cup; Aberg is 2-2-0 after making his debut in 2023 at Rome. … Scheffler and Henley were teamed up together at the Presidents Cup where they were Team USA’s best duo.

Europe: Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood vs. USA: Collin Morikawa, Harris English
