Pro Football Focus just made it clear the Seattle Seahawks are not a cute story — they are a real Super Bowl threat. PFF now gives the Seahawks a 9% chance to win Super Bowl LX and a 97% chance to make the playoffs, the third-best Super Bowl odds in the league.
That puts Seattle behind only the Los Angeles Rams and Green Bay Packers in championship probability, and ahead of several other NFC contenders chasing the top seed. The Buffalo Bills own the best Super Bowl odds out of the AFC, matching Seattle’s 9% shot according to the model.
The upgraded outlook comes as the Seahawks sit at 10-3 after dominating back-to-back wins over the Minnesota Vikings and Atlanta Falcons, outscoring them by a combined 63-9.
PFF Gives Seahawks Third-Best Chance to Win Super Bowl LX
The confidence in Seattle is driven by balance on both sides of the ball. The Seahawks rank near the top of the league in points scored per game (29.8) and points allowed per game (17.4), giving them the NFL’s best point differential heading into Week 15.
Sam Darnold has stabilized the offense, while Jaxon Smith-Njigba has emerged as a genuine star, and Mike Macdonald’s defense has played like an elite unit for most of the season.
What PFF’s Super Bowl Odds Mean for the Seahawks
From a league-wide perspective, PFF basically puts Seattle in a tiny inner circle of teams that “should” be thinking Lombardi Trophy, not just sneaking into the tournament.
A 97% playoff chance suggests the Seahawks would need a collapse to miss the postseason. The bigger question is seeding and path. PFF’s numbers also see Seattle firmly in the race for the No. 1 seed in the NFC, battling the Rams and Packers for home-field advantage and the conference’s lone bye.
For fans, the projections validate the eye test. Seattle has multiple blowout wins, a top-tier defense and enough firepower on offense to hang with anyone. For the locker room, it raises the stakes: anything short of a deep playoff run will now feel like a disappointment.
Betting markets are moving in a similar direction. One recent breakdown from FanDuel had the Seahawks with the third-best Super Bowl betting odds at +800, trailing only the Rams at +390, and the Packers at +750 with the Bills right behind.
Seahawks’ Remaining Schedule Could Swing Their Odds
The projections are glowing, but the closing stretch will determine whether those odds climb even higher or take a hit.
Seattle finishes with four opponents who all currently have winning records: the Indianapolis Colts, Los Angeles Rams, Carolina Panthers and San Francisco 49ers.
The marquee game is the late-season showdown with the Rams, which could end up deciding both the division and the bye. A win there, combined with taking care of business against the Colts, Panthers and 49ers, would likely push Seattle’s Super Bowl odds into double digits in most models.
For now, the message from PFF is clear: the Seahawks are no longer punching above their weight. They are one of the teams everyone else has to go through to reach Super Bowl LX.
