Kone will be hopeful of making his senior debut this season.

While United have a shorter fixture schedule this season with no European football on offer, the club’s youngsters will be hopeful of some involvement in cup competitions with their Carabao Cup campaign up and running against Grimsby Town later this month.

Some young stars who have featured under Amorim are set to leave on loan before the transfer window closes, however.

Toby Collyer is closing in on a loan switch to West Brom while Sheffield Wednesday are reportedly leading the race to sign Harry Amass.

17-year-old Chido Obi is expected to stay in Manchester this season.
