SKY SPORTS have removed a controversial clip of Thierry Henry’s Monday Night Football analysis that sparked backlash from Manchester United fans.
Henry came in for a slew of criticism from Man Utd supporters after he dissected Newcastle United‘s third goal during their 4-1 thrashing of the Red Devils at the weekend.

Man Utd fans have jumped to the defence of teenager Yoro[/caption]
The Arsenal legend criticised United centre-back Leny Yoro, 19, for seemingly looking to the linesman to check for offside as Harvey Barnes pounced on Noussair Mazraoui‘s slip to score his second goal of the game.
Henry claimed he’d “never seen that before”, and impersonated the teenager’s glance to the official live in the Sky Sports studio.
Discussing the reaction from Yoro, Henry said: “Look at Yoro and what he is asking for. I don’t know why… I don’t know what he is looking at.
“You’re looking at the linesman trying to see if he is going to bail you out… on what I don’t know. I don’t know if he thought there was an offside, I don’t know if he thought that someone – I – we – I don’t know.
“We all know it’s a goal. What are you looking at? I actually don’t know. I’ve never seen that before. We all know it’s a goal.”
The clip sparked fury amongst Man Utd fans who claimed that Henry’s analysis was “pathetic” and “nonsense”.
One wrote: “Dragging a youngster and being performative just because he’s got the taste for being a viral meme now. Pathetic stuff.”
While another added: “I like Henry but this is nonsense. Frozen a clip just to make a cheap joke on a young centre half. If Yoro plays for Fulham or Palace they wouldn’t dream of using this ‘analysis’.”

Since that criticism, Sky Sports have taken the decision to remove the video from their social channels.
However, a still image of Henry replicating Yoro’s glance still remains up on the Sky Sports Premier League X page, alongside the caption: “When you hear someone open a packet of crisps”.
SunSport has contacted Sky Sports for comment.
Fans have reacted to the clip being taken down by Sky Sports too.
One supporter posted: “Sky Sports have now deleted the clip. Some BIZARRE punditry from Thierry Henry on Leny Yoro…”
And a second added: “Rightly so! Thierry clearly trying to become a meme. He [Yoro] did nothing wrong, all defenders do it.”

A post using a grab of the video is still up on the Sky Sports Premier League X account[/caption]
