If Pittsburgh Steelers edge rusher T.J. Watt is still dealing with a hip injury, it’s not longer reflected in the team’s Week 8 injury report.
Watt fully practiced for the first time this week Friday. On Pittsburgh’s final injury report for the week, the edge rusher had no injury designation.
While speaking to reporters, he made his intention for the Week 8 matchup against the Green Bay Packers very clear.
“Stop the run, stop the run, stop the run,” said Watt.
The former first-team All-Pro defender made that statement a week after the Steelers gave up 142 rushing yards to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Watt didn’t practice at all Wednesday. On the team’s injury report, though, the Steelers reported the edge rusher received a veteran rest day.
But then Thursday, the 31-year-old was limited in practice because of a hip injury.
Despite that, Watt plans to be on the field versus the Packers on Sunday night.
