Tammy Abraham ‘offered Premier League transfer return’ with Roma braced for bids for ex-Chelsea striker

FORMER Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham may be offered a return to the Premier League this summer, according to reports.

Abraham, 26, left the Blues in 2021 to join Roma.

Abraham was sidelined for much of last season with an ACL injury

The English ace performed well in his first season, returning 27 goals and five assists in 53 games.

His second season yielded a less impressive nine goals and seven assists in all competitions.

He was then sidelined for ten months with an anterior cruciate ligament injury going into season three, but did score once this season after returning to action in April.

Now before heading into his fourth year with the Giallorossi, The Telegraph claim he is the subject of interest from three English clubs.

The report suggests West Ham, Tottenham and Aston Villa are all aware that Abraham could be attainable as they hunt for a new striker.

However, Spurs are said to be unsure whether or not to make a move, while Villa will only actively look to fill the position if Jhon Duran is sold amid interest from Chelsea over a reported £42million move.

The latest gossip on Duran’s move to Chelsea

Chelsea have reportedly agreed a sensational £42million deal to sign Jhon Duran from Aston Villa.

Stunning reports from the striker’s native Colombia claim the Blues have struck a fee after previously targeting Duran in January.

The 20-year-old is said to be pushing for the Stamford Bridge switch.

And he is already reckoned to be in contract talks with Chelsea as a move intensifies.

Duran only joined Villa 18 months ago from MLS outfit Chicago Fire. He’s netted eight goals in 49 games at Villa Park.

And Duran was the subject of strong interest from Chelsea in January.

The Blues opted against a winter move despite Armando Broja’s Fulham loan and Christopher Nkunku’s latest injury setback.

But Colombian outlet En La Jugada RCN claims a deal to take Duran to London is finally in the making.

Abraham has two years left on his contract at the Stadio Olimpico.

Roma are believed to be willing to accept offers of around £20m for him, though no set price is set in stone due to the Italian club facing their own financial fair play issues.

Daniele De Rossi‘s side, which became his when he took over as boss from Jose Mourinho in January, have Romelu Lukaku on loan from Chelsea.

But they currently cannot afford to the £37m valuation set by the Blues.

Abraham has won 11 England caps, scoring three goals.

The Three Lions kick off their Euro 2024 campaign against Serbia on Sunday, while Germany vs Scotland kicks off the tournament tonight in Munich.
