Taylor Swift Gets Exciting News During Chiefs Bye Week

The Kansas City Chiefs‘ 28-21 loss to the Buffalo Bills continues to weigh heavily on tight end Travis Kelce.

“I can’t say that I’m not frustrated, more from the entire start of the season than just this Bills game,” Travis told co-host and older brother, Jason Kelce, during the latest episode of their “New Heights” podcast. “I mean, there’s games that I don’t think we had any business losing.”

After starting the season 0-2 for the first time under quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs are 5-4, sitting in third place in the AFC West. Kansas City faces a tough road matchup against the Denver Broncos when they return from the bye.

“For the next week, at least, take your mind a little bit elsewhere,” Jason responded. “What are you doing, anything fun? You’re gonna get into travel? What are you doing here? What are you doing over the week? Tell us about your personal life.”

Travis answered, “No, no chance.”

A few hours later, however, Travis joined his fiancée, Taylor Swift, in New York City, where they dined at the Polo Club. This marked the famous couple’s first paparazzi walk together since he proposed in August.

Swift and the Chiefs star stepped out again the following night as they were photographed exiting Zero Bond, a private members club.

Swift did not attend the Chiefs-Bills game in Buffalo, which didn’t come as a huge surprise since she’s only attended matchups at Arrowhead Stadium in 2025.

While the Chiefs are fresh off a loss, the couple still had a lot to celebrate. The pop star’s latest album, “The Life of a Showgirl, which features numerous songs inspired by Travis, continues to make music history.

Taylor Swift’s Song, ‘The Fate of Ophelia’ Becomes Her Longest-Running No. 1 Hit on Global Spotify

The hit single off Swift’s 12th studio album, “The Fate of Ophelia,” continues to dominate the music charts. After 36 days at No. 1 on the Global Spotify Chart, the song surpassed “Shake It Off” as her longest-running No. 1 hit.

The 14-time Grammy winner released the music video for “Fate of Ophelia” on October 5, Travis’s 36th birthday, and the lyrics were inspired by their relationship.

“The hook is someone comes into your life and rescues you from the fate of being driven mad by love,” Swift explained on Heart Breakfast radio show. She also confirmed the line, “Keep it 100,” is a play on her and Kelce’s favorite numbers, 13 and 87, combined.

“The Fate of Ophelia” also remained the No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart for its fourth consecutive week.

While Swift didn’t receive any 2026 Grammy nominations this past week, it wasn’t a snub. The window of eligibility ran from August 31, 2024, through August 30, 2025, and “The Life of Showgirl” dropped on October 3, 2025.

However, when the 2026 Songwriters Hall of Fame announced their nominees for the prestigious honor last month, Swift’s name made the list. She earned the nomination during her first year of eligibility.
