Taylor Swift’s Status for Attending Chiefs-Commanders Game

The Kansas City Chiefs take on the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football in Week 8, and tight end Travis Kelce is pumped.

The primetime matchup is turning out to be a major family affair for Kelce. His older brother, Jason Kelce, is at the game to fulfill his “Monday Night Countdown” hosting duties for ESPN.

The night before the game, Jason hit up 1587 Prime, the restaurant Travis opened with Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, with their father, Ed Kelce.

Also in town early for the Commanders-Chiefs game, Travis’ mom, Donna Kelce. She visited the Halloween pop-up at Tom’s Town Distillery with her brother, Don Kelce, and his wife, Joan. They dined at Lidia’s, an Italian restaurant, before hitting Joe’s KC, a famous BBQ spot, before kickoff.

Fans also hope to see Kelce’s fiancée, Taylor Swift, at Arrowhead Stadium on Monday, October 27.

While she kept a low profile, Swift watched as the Chiefs blew out the Las Vegas Raiders 31-0 last week. She was also in attendance when the Chiefs defeated the Detroit Lions in Week 6.

In fact, Swift has attended every home game thus far this season, making her presence at tonight’s game very likely. Although she may choose to avoid the spotlight and stay away from all cameras like she managed to do in Week 2 and 3.

Travis Kelce Seemed to Hint at Taylor Swift’s Attendance With His Orange Outfit

The 10-time Pro Bowler arrived for the Monday Night Football game in an orange denim outfit, a clear nod to Swift’s latest album, “The Life of a Showgirl.”

During the singer’s record-breaking guest appearance on the Kelce brothers’ “New Heights” podcast in August, Jason inquired about the orange theme.

“I’ve just always liked it,” Swift answered. “It feels like energetically how my life has felt — and this album is about what was going on behind the scenes in my inner life during [The Eras Tour], which was so exuberant and electric and vibrant.”

Travis animatedly added, “So that’s the energy we’re going for, okay. I understand why it’s orange now. Okay!”

Swift’s 12th studio album, which features numerous songs inspired by her future husband, remained at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart for the third straight week following its Oct. 3 release.

Taylor Swift Earned a Songwriters Hall of Fame Nomination

A few days before the Commanders-Chiefs game, the 2026 Songwriters Hall of Fame announced their nominees for the prestigious honor on October 23, and Swift’s name made the list.

Other nominees in the Performing Songwriters category alongside Swift include Sarah McLachlan, Pink (Alecia Moore), LL Cool J (James Todd Smith), Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley of KISS, Kenny Loggins, and more. Swift earned the nomination during her first of eligibility.

The Songwriters HOF states, “A songwriter with a catalog of notable songs qualifies for induction 20 years after their first commercial release of a song.” Swift’s first commercial release, “Tim McGraw,” dropped in June 2006, and the HOF induction ceremony typically takes place in June. After the voting concludes, only the top 3 of the Performing Songwriters will be inducted. The same rules apply to the Non-Performing Songwriters.
