Ten Hag’s ‘least favourite Sky Sports pundit revealed’ with Man Utd boss convinced ex-star had it in for him from start

ERIK TEN HAG’s least favourite Sky Sports star has reportedly been revealed after winning his battle to stay at Manchester United.

The Red Devils boss will remain at Old Trafford after months of speculation.

Ten Hag was routinely criticised by ex-players including Gary Neville and Roy Keane after struggling for consistency.

But the Dutchman had the last laugh as he led United to FA Cup glory over Man City.

The result saw United bag Europa League football too, despite finishing eighth in the league.

And Ten Hag will be staying put for at least one more year after winning the support of Sir Jim Ratcliffe.

The Telegraph now claims that Ten Hag felt he was unfairly picked on by Sky Sports pundits throughout the campaign.

He was particularly aggrieved by criticism from ex-United stars such as Neville and Keane, as well as TNT Sports aces Rio Ferdinand and Paul Scholes.

And Ten Hag could not resist having a dig back at Keane in the wake of United’s FA Cup win, referring to the Irishman’s own patchy dugout career by telling him “you had trouble to manage a team.”

However, it’s reckoned Ten Hag “took most exception” to Sky Sports’ Jamie Carragher.

The Carabao Cup winner now has another chance of proving his doubters wrong after being backed as boss by new owners INEOS.

Replacements were initially explored, with Thomas Tuchel and Mauricio Pochettino linked.

But Ten Hag will remain in his position and is even set to undergo talks over a new contract.
