So far, ten of twelve Ryder Cup players for Team USA have committed to an appearance at the 2025 Procore Championship. Let’d take a look at who will, and maybe who won’t make it to Napa Valley this September.
Procore as Preparation
The Procore is the first event of the PGA Tour’s FedEx Cup Fall schedule. It is a great way for members of the Ryder Cup to stay competitive and in the swing of things. So far, ten out of twelve Ryder Cup Players have committed to attending.
Recently, the Procore Championship updated fans on social media that World No. 1, Scottie Scheffler will make his debut at the Procore Championship. Other recent commitments include two-time major winner Justin Thomas, and U.S. Open Winner J.J. Spaun.
Those who committed earlier in the season include Sam Burns, Ben Griffin, Russell Henley, Harris English, Cameron Young, and Patrick Cantlay, and Collin Morikawa.
The Procore is expecting a competitive weekend beginning September 11th, 2025. They welcomed fans and PGA Tour competitors with a statement from Mike Damaso, the Chairman of Impact Through Golf Napa Valley.
“We are thrilled to offer our fans the opportunity to watch some of the best stars on the PGA Tour compete.”
Who Has Yet to Commit
Surprisingly, Xander Schauffele has yet to confirm or deny if he will be in attendance at Silverado Resort’s North Course. The only update on the situation is reportedly a text from Schauffele’s manager claiming the golfer is “just undecided.”
It’s not the first time the question has come up this year. At the BMW Championship, Schauffele stated, “I don’t know how many guys have signed up or not, but I wouldn’t say there’s an expectation for us to play, but a lot of us do want to play just to stay fresh, knock off some rust. I’ll have an even longer break, so we’ll see how that goes.”
Schauffele failed to make it to East Lake this year, giving him more time off than some of his teammates.
Bryson DeChambeau will also be absent from the Procore Championship, but this isn’t by choice. The star left the PGA Tour, joining LIV Golf, and was subsequently banned from playing in Tour events. However, this realization shocked not only DeChambeau but Team USA Captain, Keegan Bradley.
“I thought that the Ryder Cup sort of transcends all of this. And really, the last thing on my mind is the PGA Tour-LIV stuff.” Said Bradley when an exception wasn’t offered to DeChambeau.
Ryder Cup Update
Fans can watch the Procore this September 11th, followed by the Ryder Cup beginning September 26th, 2025. Captain Keegan Bradley of Team USA will appear alongside Sam Burns, Scottie Scheffler, Patrick Cantlay, Bryson DeChambeau, Harris English, Ben Griffin, Russell Henley, Collin Morikawa, Xander Schauffele, J.J. Spaun, Justin Thomas, and Cameron Young.
They will face off against the European Team, who will work to defend their title. Luke Donald will captain Rory McIlroy, Robert MacIntyre, Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose, Rasmus Hojgaard, and Tyrell Hatton with the remaining six players yet to be announced by Team Europe.
