The No. 3 Texas A&M Aggies (11-0) look to keep their undefeated season alive as they head to Austin, Texas, to take on the No. 16-ranked Texas Longhorns (8-3) in rivalry weekend. Everything is bigger in Texas, they say, and this is one of the most highly anticipated rivalry games on the loaded Black Friday slate.
The Aggies are essentially a lock to be in the College Football Playoffs, but are still vying for an SEC title berth as they need a win over Texas to secure a spot in Atlanta. For Arch Manning and the Longhorns, their playoff chances are slim, but another loss would certainly give them no chance of advancing. However, a win over the third-ranked Aggies may give them a strong case if other teams across college football lose either later today or into Saturday. Let’s get into the betting market of this contest and some game predictions.

Texas A&M vs. Texas Prediction & Best Bet
Well, one thing is certain about this game is the betting market is razor tight. The 11-0 Aggies enter as just 2.5-point favorites (likely because they are on the road), and the Texas Longhorns are 5-0 at home this season. While they haven’t played a team as good as the Aggies yet, that is a promising number for Texas bettors. Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko’s game plan will certainly feature exotic blitzes in an attempt to get Arch Manning flustered out of the pocket or on the ground via sacks.
Prediction:Â Texas Moneyline
Yeah, my prediction in this one is that the Texas Longhorns will give the College Football Playoff committee something to seriously consider after a signature win over an undefeated team.
This prediction is no slight to the Aggies, as they’ve already proven throughout the season that they are one of the best teams in the nation, but the Longhorns are very desperate, and this acts as a playoff game for them.
Being at home is the needle-mover for me in this prediction. And Arch Manning has started to figure things out at quarterback, and it wouldn’t surprise me if he has a productive day as the Longhorns’ signal caller today.
Best bet:Â Arch Manning O 1.5 Passing Touchdowns (+114)
Arch Manning has hit the number of 2+ passing touchdowns in three of his last four games, including a four-touchdown performance against Arkansas last weekend. The one game in the last month he did not pass for two touchdowns was against the Georgia Bulldogs on the road.
Manning has thrown 2 or more passing touchdowns in four of the Longhorns’ five home games to this point.
