The winner of the Masters will not only land themselves the famous Green Jacket but also a fairly substantial prize money payout, too.

World No.1 Scottie Scheffler returns as the defending champion after claiming his second Masters title with a composed final-round display last year.

The American is now aiming to become the first back-to-back champion since Tiger Woods in 2002 but will have to see off a stacked field to do so.

Hoping to finally complete the career grand slam, Rory McIlroy enters the tournament high on confidence having won the Players Championships last month.

Others such as Collin Morikawa, Ludvig Aberg, Jon Rahm and Bryson DeChambeau are expected to be in the mix for what promises to be an enthralling spectactle.

Last year, Scheffler’s dominant victory saw him take home an eyewatering $3.6m as part of a record $20m prize purse.

Here’s how the payout looks for this year’s event…

The prize money has increased in each of the last three three years, with Scheffler earning a remarkable $900,000 more for his second Masters triumph compared to his first win in 2022.

Confirmation of the prize money is expected to come later in the week – however, if it stays the same as last year here is how much money the winner and top 25 finishers will receive.
