Rory McIlroy will need to bounce back after a hugely dissapointing end to his first round at The Masters saw him tumble away from the leaders.
McIlroy, resuming his hunt for the career Grand Slam, was positioned nicely at four-under-par after 14 holes, but made two cost double bogeys – at 15 and 17 – to finish level par for his first round.
The finish leaves the World No.2 a healthy seven shots back of first-round leader Justin Rose who flew out of the traps at Augusta National with a superb opening-round 65.
The Englishman, twice a runner-up at the Masters, holds a three-shot lead over defending champion Scottie Scheffler, last year’s runner-up Ludvig Aberg and Canada’s Corey Conners.
US Open champion Bryson DeChambeau is a shot further back at -3 alongside LIV Golf teammate Tyrrell Hatton.
Attention now turns to the second round and here is everything you need to know, including the tee times TV schedule, start time, and how to watch and stream in the UK.
