Thomas Frank insists he fully understands Arsenal’s decision to sign Christian Norgaard from Brentford this summer.

Mikel Arteta’s side sealed a £15 million deal for the 31-year-old earlier this month.

Before their six seasons together at Brentford, Frank also managed Norgaard at Brondby as well as at youth level with Denmark’s national side.

The pair were reunited in Hong Kong on Thursday as Frank’s Tottenham side beat Arsenal in their pre-season friendly.

Norgaard, who started the game and was replaced by Martin Zubimendi in the second half, shared a hug with Frank after the full-time whistle.
