Touching moment Chris Kamara is given amazing reception by England fans in Frankfurt ahead of Euro 2024 clash vs Denmark

EVERYBODY’S favourite footie pundit Chris Kamara shared a touching moment with fans ahead of England’s Euro 2024 clash with Denmark.

Kamara, 66, was diagnosed with Apraxia after experiencing symptoms of a speech disorder two years ago.

He achieved legendary status working alongside Jeff Stelling on Sky Sports Soccer Saturday for three decades.

Kammy left his role on Sky Sports in 2022 after being diagnosed with an underactive thyroid, leaving him with a condition that affects his speech.

But now he has thanked England fans who embraced him as he walked through Frankfurt ahead of the Three Lions’ clash with the Danes.

Kamara posted a short clip on to his 1.9m Twitter followers to share his thoughts.

The cult-hero commentator wrote: “Walked through the square & what a reception. Thank you England fans.”

Supporters can be heard endearingly shouting “Kammy” and “unbelievable Jeff”, before Karama turned round to wave with a smile.

Kamara’s infamous catchphrase ‘unbelievable Jeff’ was coined while working with his Sky Sports pal Stelling.

And fans loved Kamara’s grateful post.

One wrote: “You are well loved Kammy.”

Another said: “There’s only one Chris Kamara!”

A third added: “Well deserved you are such a great guy. Lap it up.”

The ex-Swindon and Brentford midfielder has continued with some of his media work as the host of ITV’s Ninja Warrior UK and co-host of the BBC’s Proper Football podcast with Ben Shephard.

He also received an MBE in 2022 for his anti-racism and charity work.
