Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift may live in the brightest spotlight in pop culture, but according to Kelce, life at home is surprisingly peaceful. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end made his most surprising relationship confession yet on the Dec. 3 episode of his podcast, “New Heights,” during an interview with George Clooney.
Kelce, 36, asked Clooney about a past claim the actor made — that he and his wife, Amal Clooney, have never argued in their 10 years together. Clooney doubled down immediately. “No, I’m not lying,” Clooney said, before turning the question back on Kelce. “Travis, shall we ask you the same questions?”
Kelce didn’t hesitate. Laughing, he admitted, “Well, it’s only been two and a half years, and you’re right. I haven’t gotten into an argument. Never once.”

Clooney explained his philosophy on avoiding arguments with his wife. “Neither of us are gonna win the argument, so why get in?” he said. “I’ve met this incredible woman that is… beautiful and smart… What am I going to fight about?”
Kelce took notes — literally.
“I am for sure. I’m just taking notes this whole time, big guy. You don’t even know,” he told Clooney.
Kelce and Swift announced their engagement in August 2025 after nearly two years together. The pair famously connected after Kelce publicly joked on “New Heights” that he didn’t get the chance to give Swift a friendship bracelet at her Eras Tour stop in Kansas City.
Swift later told Time magazine she found the moment “metal as hell,” and the couple has been inseparable since.
Kelce’s claim about never arguing may surprise fans, but Swift echoed similar sentiments recently. Speaking on BBC Radio 2’s “The Scott Mills Breakfast Show,” Swift said their shared passion for their careers only brings them closer.
“That’s the coolest thing about Travis,” she said. “He is so passionate about what he does, that me being passionate about what I do, it connects us.”

Clooney also asked Kelce about his 2024 trip to Lake Como — which happens to be home to Clooney’s own iconic villa.
“Me and Tay danced around Lake Como for a little while. I loved it out there,” Kelce said. “Every morning, I was throwing my shoes on, running up and down the water.”
He described the vacation as a series of unforgettable moments.
“We had gloomy days, we had beautiful days. Every single day was a new epic realization of what’s really around the world. I have never imagined that place in my dreams,” he said.
Kelce confirmed it was his first time in Italy and raved about the food. “You’re going to a place that has 10 seats in the corner of a cove and it’s just the best pasta you can imagine.”
The getaway happened during a break in Swift’s Eras Tour, giving the couple rare uninterrupted time together.
Kelce later told GQ that their relationship evolved naturally. “It was so organic,” he said. “We fell in love just based off the people we were sitting in a room together with.”
