Travis Kelce Makes Telling Statement About His Chiefs Future

Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is 36 years old, and while that’s not old, it’s getting up there in age for someone in the NFL. That’s why whenever the season starts to wrap up, Kelce fields questions about if and when he’ll finally retire from the NFL.

Kelce has plenty going on outside of the NFL, so it’s not like he will be bored in retirement. He has a successful podcast called “New Heights” with his brother, Jason, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg.

Even though the Kansas City Chiefs still have plenty of season left, Kelce is already getting asked questions about retirement. A bit early, don’t you think? But, either way, people have questions, and he has answers about his future with the Chiefs and in the NFL.

Is Travis Kelce Close to Retiring from the Kansas City Chiefs?

During the team’s press conference on Friday, November 21, ahead of their game on Sunday, November 23, against the Colts, Kelce was asked about retirement. He had a blunt and honest answer to the question, and it sounds like something he’s thought about a lot.

“Chiefs TE Travis Kelce, on his expiring contract, says he’ll have communication with the team on his future after the season before free agency and the draft take place,” Charles Goldman of A to Z Sports reported on X.

So, there you have it. Kelce will think things through and already has a plan of when and how he’ll inform that team of his decision.

Another Travis Kelce Venture

Kelce is part of 3 Arts Sports, “a sports and entertainment management collective that provides a 360° approach with our select roster of diverse talent leveraging a curated approach to mirror today’s cultural landscape,” according to the organization’s official website.

They add, “Our business model is designed around entrepreneurial talent with a deep understanding of the unique opportunities surrounding your personal image, content production, marketing, brand & equity partnerships.”

Kelce has been involved with 3 Arts Sports for a while, and a new face just joined the group: Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels has signed with 3 Arts Entertainment’s sports management division, 3 Arts Sports, according to a release.

“Daniels will work closely with 3 Arts Sports to build out his personal media production company and strategically expand his footprint across sports, business, media and entertainment,” Variety magazine notes in a Tuesday, November 18, feature about the partnership. “The 2024 NFL Rookie of the Year joins 3 Arts Sports’ roster of athlete clients that includes Travis Kelce and Myles Garrett.”

The Hollywood Reporter adds, “His partnership will include expanding into original media, brand collaborations and taking equity stakes in business ventures as he continues to dominate the line of scrimmage with successful on-field plays for the Commanders.”

But, back to the upcoming matchup. The Colts have a 8-2 record going into the game, while the Chiefs are 5-5, so as odd as it is to say, the Chiefs are underdogs in this game. Kelce and the crew know that this is a make or break game for the season, so expect them to play their hearts out.
