The world was watching as Taylor Swift appeared as the special guest on Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs and his brother Jason Kelce’s podcast, “New Heights,” which was released at 7 p.m. EST on Wednesday, August 13. Swift, of course, was breaking the news on the show that her new album is on the way, which will mark her 12th studio release and be called “The Life of a Showgirl.”
As it turns out, Swift and the Kelce brothers made history on the show. According to streaming numbers on YouTube during the show, more than 1.3 million people were watching the episode debut live.
Travis Kelce Glows Next to Taylor Swift on ‘New Heights’
On the podcast, Swift talked about everything from her Eras Tour to her newfound enjoyment for football to her obsession with baking. She’s actually a big baker and has been experimenting with different sourdough bread recipes. Some of her favorites recipes are for regular sourdough bread, blueberry lemon, cinnamon swirl, cinnamon raisin and even funfetti sourdough with sprinkles. That last one sounds like a must-try.

When Swift was taking about all the bread she’s been making lately, Kelce said eight telling words. He was referring to how she spoils him with her baked goods, but they’re also sweet and sincere words.
“I am the luckiest man in the world,” he said on the podcast. He added that he’s lucky that he’s working out so much with the Kansas City Chiefs, because “I’m getting the caloric intake.”
Kelce was literally glowing as he sat next to Swift on the show. It’s easy to tell that this relationship is for real.
Swift also debuted the album cover for “The Life of a Showgirl” on the show and posted it on social media.
Travis Kelce Gushes Over Taylor Swift, Again
Kelce has many reasons to love Swift, and he’s opening up more about them. In an interview published on Tuesday, August 12, where Kelce graces the cover of GQ magazine, he gushes over Swift.
“I get to be the plus one. I get to go and be that fan,” he says in the interview. “Because I am a fan. I’m a fan of music. I’m a fan of art. And it’s so cool that I get to experience her being that plus one for me on the football field…. I feel that same enjoyment every time she comes to my shows.”
Kelce also says that his relationship with Swift works because they’re at the same level. They’re both famous and know what it’s like to be in the public eye and deal with all the good and bad that comes with it.
“I hadn’t experienced somebody in the same shoes as me, having a partner who understands the scrutiny, understands the ups and downs of being in front of millions,” he explains in the interview.
On the podcast, Swift talked about not having a great football throw, but Kelce pushed back on it and said she was certainly an athlete. That’s totally in line with his comments to GQ. It’s true that touring the world and putting on three-hour shows is something that requires major athletic abilities.
