Allen, 32, won the clash 4-1 as he pretty much dominated from start to finish.
But it were his performance in the second frame that had fans purring.
The world no.3 smashed in a 147, which is the maximum a snooker player can score in a single frame.
The total is made by a player hitting all 15 reds with 15 blacks before clearing the remaining colours off the felt.
During his amazing effort, Allen also pulled off a cannon shot to pot a red and perfectly lay up onto the black.
And fans have hailed the star on social media for his brilliant display.
One posted: “Best shot ever in a 147.”
A second wrote: “That’s utterly ridiculous.”

A third commented: “That’s insane.”
A fourth said: “Most underrated shotmaker.”
Another added: “What a shot maker he is.”
The 147 could earn Allen a cash prize worth £5,000 if it remains the highest break of the tournament.
Allen will also be happy to have impressed on the tables despite claiming they should have been “burned” earlier in the competition.
On Monday, he told ITV: “The conditions out there are absolutely embarrassing.
“It’s some of the worst weather outside and they’ve left the massive transport doors open. It’s so cold, it’s so humid, out there.
“The table needs to be burned. The cushions are unplayable, uncontrollable. It was heavy. The speed was decent. There’s new guys doing the tables this year and they’re clearly not up to it.
“I pride myself on preparing properly for tournaments with good conditions and you turn up and you don’t get them. It’s not good enough.
“I complain every single tournament, fill in table report sheets, match report sheets and nothing ever changes.”
