During training camp, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce made it clear that his girlfriend, Taylor Swift, remained on his mind.
Kelce hard-launched his relationship with Swift with a 13-photo album on Instagram on July 24. He captioned the post, which features several never-before-seen pictures with the pop star, “Had some adventures this offseason, kept it 💯.”
The post racked up over 3.6 million likes, marking the Chiefs star’s most-liked post ever. While Kelce and the pop star kept a noticeably low profile following Super Bowl LIX, the famous couple made numerous public appearances together over the summer.
The “Karma” singer even surprised fans by performing “Shake It Off” during Tight End University’s concert in Nashville.
Swift appeared to go back into seclusion once training camp started at the end of July. However, fans are convinced she’s returning to the spotlight in a major way on August 13.
“New Heights,” a podcast hosted by Kelce and his brother, Jason Kelce, posted on Monday, August 11, “92%ers, we’re coming back early for a special episode with a VERY special guest New episode Wednesday 7PM ET.”
With the background color being a glittery red/orange hue, the premiere date being the 13th, Swift’s lucky number, and Jason rocking an “Eras Tour” t-shirt, it’s hard to imagine the special guest not being the 14-time Grammy winner.
Travis Kelce’s Facial Expression While Entering Chiefs Practice on Monday Said It All
After dropping the biggest Swift Easter egg in recent memory, Kelce went to work on Monday. The Chiefs posted a video of the 35-year-old walking into practice, and his smirk immediately drew attention. One fan commented, “That smile… he knows what he did this morning 😂❤️🔥.”
One Chiefs fan account wrote, “He knows that Taylor is on @newheightshow on Wednesday 🫶.” A woman added, “The face of a man whose podcast just created a firestorm on the internet. ❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥.”
Even the smug smile the Chiefs’ official account used in the caption was considered suspect. One fan posted, “Soooo they know don’t they? It’s happening isn’t it? 👀.”
Rumors swirl that Swift may be ready to announce her 12th studio album after reportedly filming a top secret music video last month. One hour after “New Heights” shared their post on Monday, Taylor Nation, the singer’s official fan club, posted several photos of Swift in orange/red outfits and wrote, “Thinking about when she said ‘See you next era…’ ❤️🔥.”
Fans remain on high alert as “New Heights” seemed to hint at Swift being a guest in June. The show posted on X, “If this tweet gets 13K likes, I’ll drop the teaser a day early Let’s see what you’re made of 92%ers.” However, the special guest turned out to be Brad Pitt.
Travis Kelce First Captured Taylor Swift’s Attention On ‘New Heights’

“New Heights” celebrated a very special anniversary on July 26. Exactly two years prior, Kelce lamented not being able to give Swift a friendship bracelet with his number on it after seeing the “Eras Tour” in Kansas City. “New Heights” reposted the original clip last month and wrote, “Two years ago today, anyone got an update? 😂”
Travis said in the episode, “I was disappointed that she doesn’t talk before or after her shows because she has to save her voice for the 44 songs that she sings. I was a little butthurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her.”
“She doesn’t meet anybody — or at least she didn’t want to meet me, so I took it personal,” he continued. “But it was an unbelievable show. Kansas City showed out… Everybody was dressed in pink and purple, going crazy for her.”
Speaking to TIME for the Person of the Year cover story published in December 2023, Swift revealed Kelce got bonus points for the public shoutout. “This all started when Travis very adorably put me on blast on his podcast, which I thought was metal as hell,” she said.
