The Minnesota Vikings haven’t had much go right for them in the 2025 campaign, but they did manage to pick up a resounding 31-0 victory over the Washington Commanders in Week 14. That has given the team some positive momentum heading into Week 15, where it will be looking to pick up its second-straight win its matchup with the Dallas Cowboys.
Doing that is going to be easier said than done, especially with Minnesota dealing with several notable injury issues heading into this one. The latest injury involves wide receiver Jordan Addison, who is dealing with an Achilles ailment. However, it doesn’t sound like something that head coach Kevin O’Connell and the rest of the team are particularly worried about.
Kevin O’Connell Issues Jordan Addison Injury Update
Entering the 2025 campaign, expectations were high for the Vikings’ passing attack. Pairing Addison with Justin Jefferson gave Minnesota one of the top wide receiver duos in the league, with guys like tight end T.J. Hockenson and running backs Aaron Jones and Jordan Mason also factoring into the mix.
The struggles of J.J. McCarthy under center, though, have significantly limited the ceiling of this offense. Despite that, Addison has managed to remain relatively productive this season. Through 10 games, Addison has 37 receptions for 510 yards and three touchdowns, which isn’t great for him, but given the circumstances, he’ll likely be content with that production.
During the week, Addison popped up on Minnesota’s injury report with an Achilles injury, which is always a bit of a concern to see. When asked about Addison’s status, though, O’Connell made it clear that there’s no reason to be overly concerned about the talented pass catcher, as he’s simply dealing with some typical wear and tear that comes over the course of an NFL season.
“Nothing really happened, just the product of normal December football soreness,” O’Connell said of Addison’s injury status. “He’s just been limited a little bit here and there, but won’t have a designation for the game.”
Jordan Addison Will Be on the Field for the Vikings in Week 15

Even with this injury, Addison doesn’t carry an injury designation heading into the team’s upcoming contest, so he will be on the field with the rest of his squad in Week 15. With Jefferson and McCarthy struggling to get on the same page as of late, that has made Addison all the more important, and he figures to play a big role in the passing attack again on Sunday.
While the Cowboys feature a high-powered offense, their defense hasn’t exactly been good all season long. McCarthy will have plenty of opportunities to push the football down the field to Jefferson and Addison, and if he can, Minnesota will have an opportunity to pull off a big upset. That is a big “if,” though, as McCarthy has struggled mightily to this point in the season. With this game set for Sunday Night Football, kickoff is scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET.
