The Golden State Warriors lost in the final game they played before Thanksgiving, falling to the Houston Rockets. What made matters worse is the fact that Stephen Curry left the game with a limp.
Curry played most of the game before he got hurt. However, he struggled from the field, shooting just 4-13. After the game, it was revealed that Curry had suffered a quad contusion. At that point, it was unclear how much time Curry would potentially miss.
Now, the Warriors have an update on how much time he will be sidelined with this injury.

Golden State Warriors to be Without Steph Curry for a Week
According to ESPN’s Shams Charania, Curry will miss around a week with a quad contusion. It could have been much worse for Curry. At the age of 37, he doesn’t recover from injuries as fast as he once did. Golden State can’t afford to be without him for long.
Right now, the Warriors are eighth in the Western Conference standings. Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green are not pleased with how the team is playing, either. Butler called the team out following this loss.
“We don’t box out, we don’t go with the scouting report. We let anybody do whatever they want, open shots, get into the paint, free throws. It’s just sad.”
Green went further, ripping everyone’s individual effort during games.
“Our defense is s–––. We are individually – I know everyone likes to twist words – I said WE are individually f****** awful. I ain’t a big keep the spirit up guy. That ain’t my department. I motherf*** you.”
The Warriors will now have to figure things out without their best player for the next week.

Golden State Needs Steph Curry Back Quickly
As he always has been, Curry is the driver of the offense. Even so, Curry has the lowest net rating since the 2012-13 season. That underscores just how poorly the team has played this season. Curry has his highest true shooting percentage in the last three seasons.
Curry still moves a lot without the ball in order to get open on screens. Without his ability to pull the defense with him, the Warriors might struggle to generate offense in the next week or so.
