Warriors Star Drops Bizarre Vacation Plea Amid Green-Kerr Chaos

Through 30 games, the Golden State Warriors do not look like title contenders, and problems are growing within the organization in what is expected to be the final few seasons of franchise star Stephen Curry’s illustrious career.

Amid these struggles, Jimmy Butler wants a vacation. In a recent comment made on Instagram, Butler urged Warriors fans not to vote for him as a 2025-26 NBA All-Star, instead saying that he wants to go on a Caribbean getaway.

Don’t vote for me guys. Instead somebody create a GoFundMe to send me to Barbados,he wrote. Thanks in advance. Go Warriors.”

Butler, a six-time All-Star, would likely be a major reach to get into this season’s All-Star game regardless. Despite his nightly numbers of 19.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 4.7 assists on 52.3% shooting, with the Warriors’ middling record, Curry is almost certainly the only Golden State player to earn the nod, in what would be his 12th time earning the honor.

Jimmy Butler Wants A Vacation Amid Warriors’ Struggles

Butler’s consistent stat lines are strong, but the 36-year-old made sure to tell fans he’s eyeing a vacation in mid-February during the All-Star break.

Yet still, Butler’s comment was likely a joke, as, along with potentially having a bonus in his contract for an All-Star nod and having enough money, with his more than $350 million career contract earnings, he doesn’t need fans to start a GoFundMe to pay for his holiday.

However, Butler’s comments, whether he intended to or not, shine a light on the Warriors’ struggles so far this season. As mentioned, Curry has been fantastic, but with injuries to Al Horford, Jonathan Kuminga being benched, and his own uncertain future, as well as inconsistencies from the roster as a whole, and Draymond Green’s recent spat with head coach Steve Kerr, Butler has more than one reason for wanting to take a break.

Butler has put up some strong performances recently, and though many of them have come in Golden State losses, he hasn’t received an All-Star nod since the 2021-22 season. Getting the honor one more time in his 15th season would be a testament to his quality career.

Additionally, in what could be a positive for Butler, Curry recently wore his Ni-Ling ‘Jimmy Butler 3 Medusa’ shoes in the Warriors’ latest win over the Orlando Magic. Perhaps Butler could send Curry another pair of his shoes from vacation while the three-pointer shooter carries the torch for Golden State at All-Star weekend.

Draymond Green Steve Kerr Argument

There are a lot of issues plaguing the Warriors through the first two months of the season, but the most recent spat between Green and Kerr is currently the biggest fire the team is attempting to put out.

During a timeout in the third quarter of their game against the Magic, the two got into a heated argument, which resulted in Green walking into the tunnel and not coming back for the rest of the contest.

“Tempers spilled over, and I thought it was best that I get out of there,Green said after the game of the situation.I don’t think it was a situation where it was going to get better. It was best to remove myself.”

Kerr also gave his side of the story, but held onto some details for himself.

“We had it out a little bit,Kerr told reporters postgame. He made his decision to go back to the locker room to cool off. That’s all I’m going to say about it. Everything is private.”

Kerr added that he feels the team needs Green to succeed, and though it wasunfortunate,he was happy with how the bench played in his place. Both Green and Kerr said that they’ve been togetherfor a long time, and as seen, interactions like that happen.

Regardless, it was another murky chapter in the Warriors’ 2025-26 campaign, one that at the moment doesn’t feel like it will lead to this era’s fifth title since 2015.
