‘We’re All Ravens Fans Now’: Lamar Jackson Gets Unexpected Super Bowl Push

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens suddenly became the center of the NFL playoff conversation for some fans after Patrick Mahomes’ season-ending knee injury officially knocked the Kansas City Chiefs out of contention. With the league’s most dominant postseason quarterback sidelined, fans quickly turned their attention to who should take over the spotlight.

One viral tweet summed up the feeling many fans shared: “With Mahomes officially out of the playoffs, it’s clear: We are all Baltimore Ravens fans. No QB deserves a Super Bowl win more than Lamar Jackson.”

Fans Say Lamar Jackson ‘Deserves’ His Moment

The reaction to the tweet showed how much Jackson’s perception has changed. Chiefs fans, Ravens fans, and neutral viewers all weighed in, many agreeing that if Mahomes can’t win it, they want to see Jackson finally get his.

“Preciate you rolling with us gang,” one Ravens fan replied. Another said simply, “I’m okay with this logic.”

Not everyone agreed. Some fans argued quarterbacks like Josh Allen deserve a Super Bowl more, while others pointed out that certain fanbases, Houston, Jacksonville, Carolina, and Detroit, etc, have waited longer than Baltimore. But even those comments acknowledged the core point — Jackson has done enough in the league that many people feel his moment is overdue.

Lamar Jackson’s Playoff History Still Comes Up

Jackson’s postseason record is part of why the debate exists at all. He has struggled at times in the playoffs, especially as a passer, and turnovers have hurt him in key games.

Ahead of the 2025 season, Jackson said, “I’m only 28,” Jackson said Wednesday, via Giana Han of the Baltimore Banner. “I’m really just getting started for real.”

Only one thing is missing from Jackson’s resume: He is 3-5 in the postseason with one trip to the AFC Championship Game, throwing 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions. Jackson has never played in a Super Bowl.

“To be honest, I’m really not trying to think that far,” Jackson said. “Because every time we have those discussions, man, we get to playoffs, but we don’t punch in. We don’t finish. So I’m pretty much just trying to finish camp the correct way and then get ready for the Bills. I’m not really trying to think about the Super Bowl yet.”

Jackson has won the MVP award twice and, surprisingly, finished second to Josh Allen in voting last season.

Ravens Gaining Momentum at the Right Time

Baltimore enters a crucial stretch with momentum on its side. The Ravens are coming off a dominant 24-0 shutout of the Cincinnati Bengals, one of the franchise’s most complete performances of the season.

Jackson threw for two touchdowns in that game, while Derrick Henry added 100 rushing yards. The Ravens now host the New England Patriots in Week 16 on NBC’s “Sunday Night Football,” with kickoff scheduled for 8:20 p.m. ET. The game will also stream on Peacock and Universo.

Patrick Mahomes’ Absence Changes the Narrative

Mahomes has already begun rehab after surgery to repair a torn ACL and LCL. Chiefs officials estimate his recovery will take around nine months, putting him on track to return for the 2026 season.

Mahomes shared a message on social media after surgery, writing, “It hurts. But all we can do now is trust in God and attack every single day.”

While Mahomes focuses on recovery, his absence has opened the door for a new playoff storyline — one that centers on whether Lamar Jackson can finally silence the doubts.
