DANIIL MEDVEDEV is hoping to win his first Wimbledon trophy at this year’s tournament and his wife Daria will be cheering him on.

Who is Daniil Medvedev’s wife Daria?
Daniil Medvedev’s wife Daria is a former tennis player but due to injuries, she needed to give up her dream of playing professionally.
Daria hails from Russia‘s capital, Moscow.
She enrolled at Moscow State Institute of International Relations to study journalism after she retired from tennis.
The pair tied the knot before he played in the Davis Cup for Russia back in September 2018.

“She played tennis until she was 17 or 18, but because of injuries she couldn’t reach the desired level,” Daniil has previously said.
“Nevertheless, it’s great that she understands tennis.
“She knows that we can’t go shopping before the game.
“Understands that I can be busy from 8 am until the evening.
“Perhaps it’s not easy to get used to it when you don’t understand anything in tennis.
“It helped me to become better as a person and a player.”

How did Daniil and Daria meet?
Daniil and Daria met while playing tennis.
She was 12 years old at their first meeting.
Daria was dining with her team at a cafe close to the tennis court when they met.
However, the pair did not begin to date until 2014, when Daniil reached out to Daria on Instagram asking for her number.
In 2017 they moved to Monte Carlo, Monaco and got married in September 2018.

After winning the US Open in 2021 Daniil said in a press conference: “It’s the third anniversary for me and my wife.
“During the tournament, I couldn’t think of a present.
“So when I went in the final, I thought, ‘I need to find a present fast.’ “
“When I won, the only thing I thought, if I lose I have no time to have a present.
“So I have to win this match. I love you, Dasha.”

Medvedev has naturally doted over his wife on numerous occasions.
“She’s one of the most important members of my team,” he said during a press conference in 2019.
“She gave me a lot of confidence.
“I always say that it’s the moment I made the proposal to her, that’s when I started to go up.
“It was at this moment – it was after Wimbledon – I was, I think, 65 or something like this, and at the end of the year, I was already 15.
“I mean, I made the best American swing I could have made last year, and it was only going up, and she does a lot for me in order for me to play better tennis.”
