Why Taylor Swift Is Suddenly Keeping a Low Profile at Chiefs Games: Report

After a slow start to the season, the Kansas City Chiefs are on a serious hot streak as they prepare to face the Buffalo Bills in Week 9.

During Kansas City’s 28-7 win over the Washington Commanders on Monday Night Football, marking the team’s third straight victory, Kelce recorded six receptions for 99 yards and a touchdown. He tied Priest Holmes for the most regular-season touchdowns in Chiefs history.

Swift has attended every home game in 2025, however, she’s keeping a noticeably lower profile than last season. The 35-year-old recently wrapped up an extensive press tour for her latest album, “The Life of a Showgirl,” during which she gushed over her engagement to Kelce.

She told Jimmy Fallon during an appearance on “The Tonight Show” earlier this month, “He’s just my favorite person I’ve ever met… the fact that this is the person I get to hang out with every day forever, that’s the whole thing of it, that’s the win, and this [engagement ring] represents that.”

But when it comes to game days, the “Opalite” singer continues to avoid the spotlight.

Taylor Swift Felt The Attention On Her At Chiefs’ Games Was Getting ‘Excessive’

A source told US Weekly on Tuesday, October 28, that Kelce and Swift are loving their more domestic life in Kansas City this season. “With both of their high-profile careers, it feels good to have simplicity and normalcy together.”

While Kansas City locals respect their privacy when they go out in the area, she’s laying low at games because the attention on her was “getting too excessive,” the source noted.

Swift previously commented on the backlash she received over her appearances at games after the couple went public with their relationship in December 2023. “I’m going to see him do what he loves, we’re showing up for each other, other people are there and we don’t care,” she told TIME magazine. ”

The opposite of that is you have to go to an extreme amount of effort to make sure no one knows that you’re seeing someone. And we’re just proud of each other.”

“I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in,” she added. “There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.”

Thus far this season, Swift quietly watched Kansas City’s loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2 and as the Chiefs defeated the Baltimore Ravens 37-20 in Week 3.

The 14-time Grammy winner cheered Kelce on during the Chiefs’ 30-17 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 6 and their blowout win over the Las Vegas Raiders in Week 7. Unlike last season, however, she’s entering and exiting the stadium without being photographed.

Travis Kelce & Taylor Swift’s Wedding Plans are ‘Coming Along’

While Kelce is focused on what could be his final season in the NFL, wedding plans are “coming along,” the source noted to US Weekly.

“They are both [very] involved, and Taylor thinks it’s cute that Travis wants to help. With the couple on the same page when it comes to kids, they “very much want to start a family in the next year or so. Family means everything to them.” The star-studded wedding is expected to take place this summer. “They don’t want a long engagement.”
