The Kansas City Chiefs have a major matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, September 14, at home, and it’s already shaping up to be one of the most important games of the season. The Chiefs are much more familiar with winning than losing, so they certainly want to win Sunday’s game against the Eagles.
Plus, the Chiefs, of course, lose to the Eagles in the championship game last season, so this is a rematch. It being a home game makes the stakes even higher. Both teams are looking solid this season, so this is shaping up to be another solid game.
Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce is now engaged to Taylor Swift, and Swift is a regular at Chiefs home games. She didn’t attend their opening game in Brazil, largely due to security concerns, which is understandable. So, will she be at Sunday’s home game against the Eagles?

Swift has shown up at almost ever home Chiefs game since she and Kelce started publicly dating in 2023, so it’s likely she’ll continue to do that. She hasn’t been at a game since they’ve been engaged, because there’s only been one, the Brazil game.
So, will Swift be at the Chiefs game against the Eagles on Sunday, September 14? There’s no confirmation from her camp yet, but looking at past experiences, we’re guessing it’s a yes.
Swift’s history with the Eagles is dicey. If she does skip the game, it’s likely because Eagles fans aren’t happy that Swift, who grew up in Eagles country, is a Chiefs fan now. Can you blame her for cheering for her man?
“Swift was an avowed Eagles fan before taking up with Kelce in 2023,” Today notes. “Since then, the ‘Karma’ singer has attended a number of Chiefs home games and two Super Bowls, including the 2025 Super Bowl when the Eagles beat the Chiefs, 40-22.”
One reason Swift might go to the game is because she’s not on tour, so she has more time and there won’t be travel conflicts. Parade thinks it will happen, stating, “This is the Chiefs’ first home game of the season and they’re playing the team that annihilated them at the Super Bowl last year, so you can bet Swift will be there to support her husband-to-be.”
Kansas City Chiefs Injury Update
The Kansas City Chiefs listed Xavier Worthy as doubtful on Friday, September 13, so there was a little hope left that he would be available for Sunday’s game. But, on Saturday, September 14, the Kansas City Chiefs downgraded Worthy to out, so he won’t be on the field. The news comes as a big negative for the Kansas City Chiefs but it’s not a surprise. Worthy’s injury appeared serious enough to keep him out for at least another game. Fingers crossed that he’ll return soon.
Let’s hope that even with such a star player being out, the Kansas City Chiefs can pull off a win. It would be exciting to see Swift in the stands, too, for the first time since getting engaged.
