Yankees’ Jazz Chisholm Jr. Sends Strong Message on Massive Comeback

Early in Game 3 against the Toronto Blue Jays, it seemed like the New York Yankees were down and out. Facing elimination, the Yankees quickly fell behind 6-1, and they were running out of time to put together a rally. At the last possible second, though, their bats got hot, and the bullpen shut down the Blue Jays, resulting in a 9-6 victory that sent the series to Game 4.

New York got contributions from everybody in this win, but the guy who put them ahead for good was second baseman Jazz Chisholm Jr. After helping the Yanks stay alive for at least one more day, Chisholm sent a fiery message immediately after this victory that will surely catch the attention of fans everywhere.

Jazz Chisholm’s Message After Yankees’ Game 3 Win

The 2025 MLB Playoffs didn’t exactly get off to a great start for Chisholm and the Yankees. In Game 1 of their wild-card series against the Boston Red Sox, Chisholm was on the bench and could only watch his team suffer a 3-1 defeat. It’s clear that Chisholm was unhappy to have not taken the field in the game, and manager Aaron Boone received a lot of criticism for his controversial decision to leave one of his best players out of the lineup.

Chisholm was back in the lineup in Game 2, and he promptly made a pair of key plays to help the Yankees pick up a 4-3 win to keep their season alive. In Game 3, New York earned a 4-0 victory, advancing them to the ALDS. Toronto picked up victories in Games 1 and 2 of this series, but Chisholm once again helped keep the Yanks alive with a go-ahead solo home run in the bottom of the fifth inning.

The Yankees have spent pretty much the entirety of their postseason run with their backs against the wall, but that is when they have played their best baseball. Heading into another elimination game on Wednesday, Chisholm made it clear that New York is going to do everything it can to find a way to extend its season another day.

“That’s what we do,” Chisholm bluntly said after the game. “We come in every day, and we talk about winning that game that day, especially when we’re down. We’re in elimination mode, and this is what we do when we’re about to get eliminated.”

Eliminating a team in the playoffs is one of the toughest things to do in sports, and the Blue Jays found that out the hard way in Game 3. For pretty much the entirety of this series, they have controlled the action, but one rally from the Yankees could change the entire complexion of this series.

Toronto will be looking to wrap up this series on Wednesday night, but they will have to find a way to manage a pitching staff that has been used heavily over the past two games. On the other side of the field, they will also have to go up against Cam Schlittler, who is fresh off a historic outing in Game 3 vs. the Red Sox. First pitch is scheduled for 7:08 p.m. ET, with the Yankees looking to send this series back to Canada for a winner-takes-all Game 5.
