Two teenage boys are accused of stabbing a man this week in the Portage Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.
The boys, ages 16 and 17, allegedly stabbed the 39-year-old man with a knife around 2 p.m. Thursday in the 6200 block of West Irving Park Road, Chicago police said. The man suffered critical injuries, police said, but no other information was available.
The older boy also assaulted a 37-year-old man during the incident, police said.
Both boys were arrested about 10 minutes later about a block away in the 3900 block of North Merrimac Avenue, police said.
They both face felony counts of aggravated battery, and the 17-year-old boy is charged with an additional misdemeanor count of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, police said.
