Tight end George Kittle will have until Sunday night to decide whether he can face the Bears on a sprained ankle, 49ers GM John Lynch told KNBR-AM on Friday.

“We’ll see where this thing goes. George is doing everything he can to be out there for this Bears game. That will be one that goes right down until Sunday evening.”
Kittle hasn’t practiced this week. The 49ers have been on a tight schedule after they didn’t get home from their Monday night game in Indianapolis until Tuesday morning. The Bears, meanwhile, played at home on Saturday night.
“You want George out there,” Lynch said.
