MAX DOWMAN – remember the name.
The 15-year-old could be the next big star to come out of Arsenal‘s famed Hale End academy.
Dowman starred as Arsenal Under-18s trashed Reading 4-0, with the midfielder scoring all four goals.
His first strike has seen him attract attention online after he picked up the ball deep inside his own half and ran the length of the pitch to score.
Dowman collected the ball in the right-back position and quickly turned with a couple of deft touches beating his man.
He showed good balance and agility to keep the ball in play before sprinting forward into the Reading half.
The youngster was pursued by two markers but he stayed on his feet and showed strength to hold them off.
Within seconds he had reached the penalty box and he beat another player as he cut inside before unleashing a shot into the bottom corner.
Fans were left in awe at the goal and applauded Dowman’s effort.
One reacted saying: “This is like watching Messi against a national league side.”
