There’s a pattern in how the Bears are handling nagging injuries to top wide receivers Rome Odunze and DJ Moore. It’s likely they’ll continue to monitor their workload during practices in order to have them as strong as possible on game days.
Moore and Odunze both returned to practice in a limited capacity Thursday, which is a good indication they’ll be on the field Sunday at the Vikings. Odunze had been dealing with an ankle injury; Moore has had various issues, but a shoulder injury is most prominent now. Both were out Wednesday.
Running back D’Andre Swift (hip) was limited in practice Wednesday and full-go Thursday.
The outlook isn’t as positive on defense, where safety Jaquan Brisker (back) and linebacker T.J. Edwards (hamstring) remained out Thursday. Edwards has missed four games, and it looks likely this will be his fifth. Cornerback Tyrique Stevenson is dealing with a shoulder injury, which kept him out Wednesday, but he practiced in full Thursday.
Bears injury report for Thursday:
RB D’Andre Swift (hip) – full
TE Cole Kmet (back) – full
WR DJ Moore (shoulder) – limited
WR Rome Odunze (ankle) – limited
WR Jahdae Walker (concussion) – out
DE Dominique Robinson (ankle) – full
LB T.J. Edwards (hamstring & hand) – out
CB Tyrique Stevenson (shoulder) – full
S Jaquan Brisker (back) – out
