Why hello, I’m Pru! I’m a sweet cuddle-bunny wrapped in a small, adorable package. A bit shy at first, but I quickly shine with love and affection! I love prancing around on neighborhood walks, making new friends and showing off my charm. Back home, lap snuggles and kisses await! Visit the website of the Berkeley-East Bay Humane Society at berkeleyhumane.org to learn more and schedule a meeting with me.

Two-year-old Pitt mix Malia came to us from a shelter in Hawaii and brought the serenity of the islands along with her. Malia’s name means “calm and peaceful” in Hawaiian, and this gentle soul is exactly that.

Looking for a cat who thinks outside the box? Auggie may be your man. He is a character to behold, so Auggie needs to be the only cat in your house because he isn’t a cat person. The 2-year-old is an incredibly smart, slightly crazy and super-loving kitty who only has two speeds: 0 or 100. He will be your permanent shadow who likes to watch his birds or snuggle in bed, or a chatty, high-energy acrobat who loves his string toys and playing “catch” with his mice. Auggie’s currently in foster care through Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter. To meet this pet at Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter, call 510-337-8565 or visit alamedaanimalshelter.org/adopt.
