
A man died while in custody at the Downtown Detention Center on Friday morning after he was found unresponsive in a housing unit, Denver Sheriff Department officials said.
The unidentified man was found at 11:40 a.m. and was pronounced dead after life-saving efforts by an emergency medical team, the agency said in a news release. No other identifying details about the man, including his age, were released.
His death will be investigated by the Denver Police Department, and his name and cause of death will be released by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
